HIPAA

The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) consists of many components, from privacy and security, to health care access and tax-related health provisions.  This category provides information regarding the Title II component of HIPAA, specifically its provisions regarding the protection of identifiable, personal health information.  Includes information from many regulatory agencies, including the Office for Civil Rights (OCR), the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), and the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC).
